Invert Fasteners (PE)

Plant Engineering > Part Tools > Rotate > Invert fastener or bolted flange connection

Use this function to invert the insertion direction of Fasteners or Bolted flange connections.

After choosing the function from the pull-down menu, select a fastener or bolted flange connection with the cursor. The part will then be inverted. You can then select further fasteners or bolted flange connections end the function.

The example below is meant to illustrate what "invert" means in this context:

The image shows the required position the of the pull-ring during designing. The fitting point is located in the origin of the World CS, the centre axis is running in the direction of the Z-axis.

If the fastener has been inserted without a sealing gasket, "Invert" in this context means that the fastener performs a 180° rotation about the X-axis of this coordinate system referring to the part.

If the fastener has a sealing gasket, the rotation axis will be moved in Z-direction by half the insertion length of the sealing gasket. Here "Invert" means that the fastener and the sealing gasket perform a 180° rotation about this displaced axis.
