> Save to variant... Drawing > Save/Reference > Part.. > Save to variant...
Use these functions to change the geometry of a part that has been saved within a variant while retaining the already existing variables and sub-types. You also have the option to add further variables to a variant.
The following functions are available:

Save to variant, Via Explorer Saves the active part to an existing variant. The selection of the variant takes place via the Explorer. |

Save to variant, Via DB document master data Saves the active part to an existing variant. The selection of the variant takes place via the document master data of the HELiOS database. |

|
Save to variant, Via DB article master data Saves the active part to an existing variant. The selection of the variant takes place via the article master data of the HELiOS database. |
Please note:
The sub-types that already exist in a variant will remain unchanged. The sub-types will only be expanded if any variables are added.
