Text Parameter Settings (2-D)

2-D Dimensioning + Text > Edit (Text) > Text parameter settings

You use the text parameters to define the appearance of a text, e.g.

• the colour,
• the text font,
• the text size or
• the layer to which a text is assigned.

The menu functions (right-click) enable you to change the default setting of the text parameters. Subsequently created texts use the new parameters.

Function		Description
	Parameters, New	The default setting for new text parameter will be set with this function, via the Text Editor.
Pull-down menu Settings
	Parameters, Same as reference dimension	This function applies the parameters of an existing text.
	Parameters, Default	If you choose this function, all parameters defined in TXTPAR.DAT become active.

These text parameters only apply to the current HiCAD session. They remain valid until they are changed or overwritten with the default values. The next time you start HiCAD, the default parameters from TXTPAR.DAT will be active again.
