Angle Dimensioning, Running Dimensions (2-D)

2-D Dimensioning + Text > Angle > Individual dimension > Running dimension, via points

So-called "running dimensions" are chain dimensions with the same reference side and a common dimension arc. The first side is at the same time also the reference side.

  1. Identify the first two sides.
  2. Use one point to specify the position of the dimension arc and define the succeeding angles.

You can use line or point identification to specify the sides. All angles are assumed to have a common vertex point.

The dimension figures are placed perpendicular to the dimension arc, i.e. in the direction of the second side, at the end of the corresponding dimension arc.

(2) Second side identified using points
(3) Point for dimension arc
(4) Point for further side
