Article Master (PDM in HiCAD)

HELiOS PDM > ... > Assign...

Articles are defined by the input of article master data into the database. Each set of article master data consists of:

1. Article number, Project number, Index etc.
2. Attributes such as Material, Weight etc., which can be defined company-specifically.

The assigning of article masters to drawings and parts takes place when creating new drawings (with database entry) and when saving parts to the database.

The following options for the viewing, creating and editing of article masters are available on the HELiOS PDM tab:

PDM functions for active part
	Show article master
	Assign existing article master to part
	Create new article master and assign to part

The dialogue windows for articles are operated in the same way as those in the HELiOS Desktop.

To enter individual articles into the database you can use the Drawing > Save/Reference > Part.. function.
