Change Symbol Reference

P+ID Library > Symbol > Change symbol reference

This function enables you to assign an existing symbol to another group.

Proceed as follows:

  1. Select the symbol with the cross-hairs or press the right mouse button and select the symbol by name.
  2. Use the cross-hairs to select the target group, or press the right mouse button and select the group by name.
  3. Specify the position of the symbol fitting point in the given group with the cross-hairs.
  1. If you do not want to change the reference for any other symbols, press the middle mouse button.

 

Important:

The symbol must be placed within the group frame.
