HyperMesh

Drawing > Plugins > Analysis with HyperMesh

Drawings and parts can be exported from HiCAD to HyperMesh.

Open the Drawing tab and select Plugins > Analysis with HyperMesh. Choose one of the following options:

Active part (only the active part including all sub-parts will be exported to HyperMesh)
Selected parts (only a defined part list will be exported)
Entire drawing

The HyperWorks suite or Altair HyperMesh will be launched automatically. Depending the previous selection, the active part, a defined part list , or the entire HiCAD drawing will then be imported and opened in HyperMesh.

Please note:

Extended settings of the HyperMesh interface can be defined via the Configuration Editor (ISDConfigEditor.exe).

In the Configuration Editor, select HiCAD > Active configuration > Interfaces > HyperWorks .

Here you can change the Exchange format (for STL, CATIA VS, ACIS, Parasolid, IGES, or ProE; Default is STEP), set HyperWorks command line options and the Path to HyperWorks (hw.exe).

A prerequisite for this is that Altair HyperMesh or the HyperWorks suite has been installed on the same system as HiCAD.
