Create Index - Active Part
On the HELiOS - Active part Ribbon tab, too, you can find the 
Create index function.
This function allows you to assign a new index to the active part within the currently opened drawing.
After confirming the new index creation for the Article and the Document of the part in the corresponding dialogue windows with OK , the part will be saved with a new index, and the old version will be replaced with the new index in the product structure of the corresponding assembly and the associated Inventor model drawing, respectively.
Please note:
The update behaviour of components to new indices can be set in the HELiOS Options.
