Functions for the Active Folder: General

Sets the marked Folder to "active", i.e. from the moment of the activation you will be working in this particular Folder.

Opens a window that shows you all elements of the Folder and the corresponding where-used lists. Furthermore, you have the option to print out the list of all elements.

Use this function to change the Folder name and the comment. Click OK to apply the changes.

Copies the Folder to the clipboard, enabling a linking of another object to it in the next step.

By right-clicking another folder or project you can open a context menu, allowing you to assign the folder as a sub-folder or project content to this other folder/project by means of the function Create assignment > Assign preselected object.

A preselected object can be assigned multiple times after its preselection, and will remain in the Clipboard until a different object will be preselected.

Please note that preselected objects cannot be linked across applications, i.e. it is not possible to preselect an object in the HELiOS Desktop and link it in an interfaced CAD application. The preselection and linking of objects works only within the same application.

Use this function to add the marked object(s) to the Favourites window.

Displays the current status of the Folder. If you have the required access permissions, you can execute the next test step for the Folder.

In the Ribbon tab of the detail window you can find a pull-down menu beneath this function, which contains the Start sub-workflow function (see below).

Use this function to assign roles to Role Workflow objects, or to change existing role assignments.

A multiple selection of Folders with the same workflow type is also possible.

If a sub-workflow has been defined for the Folder (a special feature of Folder Role Workflows), use this function to initialize it.

On the Ribbon of the Folder detail window the function can be found at Workflow > ... .
