Load/Save Files via Interfaces

Load files

Drawing > New/Open > Open

In order to load a file via an interface, click the symbol beneath Open.

The Open pull-down menu will be displayed. The following functions are available there:

	2-D Import Load drawing, via various 2-D interfaces
	3-D Import Load drawing, via various 2-D interfaces
	Batch Import (Dialogue) Import via interface list with dialogue
	Batch Import Import via interface list file
	2D-IGES Load drawing, via 2-D Iges interface
	Procad Load drawing, via Procad interface
	DSTV Product Load drawing, via 3-D DSTV product interface, Steel Engineering
	SDNF Load drawing, via 3-D SDNF interface, Steel Engineering
Further
	PC-Draft V11
	BabCAD
	ProCad
Settings
	Scale Use this function to set the scale with which a DXF file should be conversion into a HiCAD drawing. The DXF file is then converted in the given scale.

Select the desired interface function and then the file you want to load.

Please note:

The loading of files via the interfaces can also be done via the HiCAD Start Center.
Alternatively, you can also access the interface functions via the ISD button .

Save files

Drawing > Save/Print... > Save as...

In order to save a HiCAD drawing via interfaces, click under Save as on the symbol . The menu Save will be displayed. The following functions are available here:

Functions
	2-D part DXF/DWG Save 2-D part as DXF or DWG file
	2-D DXF/DWG Save drawing, via DXF or DWG interface
	Detail, 2-D DXF/DWG Save detail, via DXF or DWG interface
	2-D DXF/DWG Settings Opens DXF Settings. With these functions you can set different parameters for the export of DXF files.
	2-D IGES Save drawing via 2-D IIGES interface
	3-D Formats Save drawing in a 3-D format, e.g. STEP, IFC, 3-D PDF etc.
	Conversion Opens Conversion. With the functions of this menu you can: Save drawing as enhanced metafile (EMF), Save drawing as symbol graphic, Convert DXF or DWG files to FGA files, e.g. usage for series beams in Steel Engineering Convert drawings in DXB files for usage in BabCad
	Further... Opens Interfaces with further functions: Create DSTV-BOM (Steel Engineering), Create ERPlus BOM, Create QOMET BOM, Save drawing as 3-D DXF file, Save drawing via DSTV product interface Prepare and save drawing for export to NC Export drawing, via SDNF interface (Steel Detailing Neutral File), Prepare and save drawing for export to NCX.

Alternatively, you can also access the interface functions via the ISD button .
