AutoCreate/Update Drawing for Active Assemblies (DrwMan)

Update drawings or create new drawings for all parts

Drawing Management > Workshop > Drawing > All

With this function the drawings of all parts of the active assembly or - in case of a multiple selection - of all parts of the selected assemblies can be updated or created automatically.

This means:

• Workshop/detail drawings, assembly and customer drawings are updated after the models of the assemblies have been changed. Assembly and customer drawings cannot be created with this function, but - if available - can be updated if necessary. However, updating is only possible if the drawings have the status In progress. • Workshop drawings/detail drawings of newly added parts are created automatically.

The function otherwise works in the same way as the Drawing Management > Workshop > Drawing function. This means that the settings for the drawing derivation (i.e. for the drawing sheets, view groups, views, etc.) are not queried in dialogue here, but loaded from corresponding preset files. This means that with this function the Drawing derivation dialogue window is not displayed. In this way the drawing creation can be accelerated.

Update drawings or create new drawings for all parts with HELiOS selection

Drawing Management > Workshop > Drawing > All with HELiOS selection

With this function the drawings of parts of the active assembly or - in case of a multiple selection - of parts of the selected assemblies can be updated or created. In contrast to the All function, however, you must explicitly select the desired parts in HELiOS here.

Update drawings or create new drawings of all parts selected via part filter

Drawing Management > Workshop > Drawing > Via part filter

With this function the drawings of parts of the active assembly or - in case of a multiple selection - of parts of the selected assemblies can be updated or created.

In contrast to the All function, the parts whose drawings are to be updated or created can be restricted here by means of corresponding part filters. For this purpose, the Part filters dialogue window is displayed after calling the function.

This provides you with a convenient tool for selecting parts. For example, you can search for specific beams or plates and update or create drawings for them only.

After clicking Execute, the number of elements found, i.e. the elements that meet the specified filter conditions, is displayed and then the drawing update/creation for these parts is started automatically.

With this function the drawings of parts of the active assembly or - in case of multiple selection - of parts of the selected assemblies can be updated or created. In contrast to the All with HELiOS selection function, the parts whose drawings are to be updated or newly created can be restricted here via corresponding part filters. For this purpose, the Part filters dialogue window is displayed after calling the function.

After a clicking Execute in the part filters dialogue window the found parts are displayed for selection in HELiOS. Only after explicit selection of the parts the update/creation of the drawings is started.
