Info Bars and Status Bar
User guidance
HiCAD displays user guidance texts in the Info bars at the top and the bottom of the screen. You can activate or deactivate these bars via Settings > Docking windows.
Info bar, top
One info bar is displayed beneath the Ribbon bar and extends across the entire window width (Microsoft standard). It can be hidden and shown, but not moved.
Info bar, bottom
Another info bar is displayed in a small window at the bottom left corner of the screen, below the drawing area. The window can be moved freely, hidden and shown.
The dialogue text also contains advice on whether you can use the right
mouse button to activate a context menu or whether special functions are
possible, e.g. Select function/object (RMB=Ext.
selection).
Status bar
The status bar fields are for information purposes only.
The meaning of the above fields is as follows (from left to right):
- name of the active part,
- active view and view scale,
- scale of the current drawing,
- current coordinate system and
- current cursor coordinates (in the unit of measurement of your drawing)
Please note:
- If the drawing contains 3-D parts, the type of 3-D coordinate system is displayed even if you switch to 2-D.
- During the loading and saving of drawings, the loading of 3-D parts (.KRA), insertion of Design Variants and many other functions, a progress bar will be shown next to the status bar.
