General Information on HELiOS

HELiOSmeets the requirements of a modern product data management effortlessly. The system is able to provide product documents online, within the entire company and across locations. It has a modern Client/Server architecture, is based on SQL databases and is thus able to integrate other systems. It can be configured as a system for a single location or for geographically separate locations.

You are enabled to work parallel with documents, articles, projects and folders. The multiple-object architecture allows a visualisation and processing of several documents, articles etc. at the same time.

Convenient search functions enable a quick retrieval of managed documents. The graphical browsing is an additional means to simplify the search. Furthermore, special index handling logics have been integrated in case modifications are required.

In addition to the PDM functionality, HELiOS provides various tools (some of which can be called externally) for the configuration and enhanced operation of the database.
