Insertion Options - Insert in Space

Steel Engineering >New > Insert standard beam

If you select the 3-D icon in the insertion options menu bar, the beam is inserted in 3-D space. In the same way as with insertion to a plane, the beam will be inserted either

• by specifying the start and end points or
• by specifying the start point, a point for the direction and the beam length

Left: Insertion in plane, Right: Insertion in 3-D space, (1) Start point, (2) End point
