Position Dialogue Text in Project

R+I-Schema > Symbol > Edit > Position dialogue text

For all dialogues the text inputs of which are to be graphically displayed next to the symbol, use the Position dialogue text to specify the position of these texts. This is also possible while the P+ID is open.

First, select the symbol.

A selection list with the dialogue designations existing in the symbol data mask will be displayed, where you can select the desired dialogues one after the other. Use the cursor to place the text placeholder at the desired position. If there is a default text entry,. it will now appear at this position. Otherwise, the dialogue designation will be displayed there.

If the dialogue type is Connection, the appropriate connecting point needs to be identified with the cursor before placing the text placeholder, to ensure that the connection designation actually appears at the correct connecting point.

If you select (AUTOMATIC) instead of a dialogue designation in the first row of the list, the dialogue texts which are normally used for the symbol will be automatically inserted into the graphic. The positions can then be corrected with the Move dialogue text function.

The Undo option is possible for this function.
