Switch Drawing

HiCAD allows you to open several files in parallel. You can load and process up to 18 drawings simultaneously.

You use the ICN Switch drawing tab to open several drawings in parallel and to switch between the files. This tab contains the miniature images and file names of all loaded drawings. When working with HELiOS, the drawing number is displayed as well. The name of the active drawing is displayed in a different colour.

• Open several drawings
  In order to load further constructions without closing the active drawing:

• Activate the Switch drawing tab.
• Click the empty miniature image.
• Load the desired drawing or create a new drawing.
• Switch drawings
  You only need to left double-click the corresponding miniature image to switch from the active drawing to another one listed in the tab.

• Remove drawing
  To remove a drawing from the tab, activate this drawing by left double-clicking and then closing the file.

• Update preview
  You can update the drawing preview at any time by double-clicking the preview.

If you move the cursor over a miniature view, a corresponding preview of the drawing will be displayed in the drawing area.
