Cursor and Object Snap
The intelligent cursor supports the automatic snap of drawing objects, namely always when HiCAD expects the identification of an object. This is marked in the status bar by means of the Select objects or Delete objects messages.
When you move the cursor over the drawing, an object is automatically highlighted in colour according to the current cursor position. The object that is selected also depends on the currently selected identification mode. One click with the right mouse button is sufficient to process highlighted objects, and the processing functions which are relevant to the selected object are displayed in a context menu.
Please note:
- In order to activate a part or a view, simply left-click the part or the view frame. The name of this part or view is displayed in red in the ICN.
- To switch the automatic colour
highlighting in the drawing on or off, select Drawing > Extras > Temporary settings > Object highlighting
in graphic ON
, or OFF
, respectively.
- To change the cursor size, open the Configuration Editor (ISDConfigEditor.exe) and select ... > System settings > Visualisation > Cursor size.
- If you want the coordinates of the current cursor position to be displayed at the cursor, open the Configuration Editor (ISDConfigEditor.exe), select ... > System settings > Miscellaneous , and change the parameter Show dynamic coordinates accordingly.
