Import/Export Drawings

HiCAD's open system design enables you to exchange data with your customers or suppliers via a wide range of interfaces.

 

An overview of all interfaces can be found on the ISD website and in the ISD Wiki.

Import file

Drawing > New/Open > Open

To load drawings which were created using other programs, proceed as follows:

  1. Activate the Drawing tab. In the New/Open function group, click below Open .
  2. Select one of the functions of the Interfaces menu.
  3. Choose the data type and the desired file.
  4. Click Open.

Export file

Drawing > New/Open > Others

To export a HiCAD drawing to another file format, proceed as follows:

  1. Activate the Drawing tab. In the Save/Print function group, select either Save as or click below.
  2. Select one of the functions of the Interfaces menu.
  3. Enter the path and file name and click OK to exit the window in question.
