First Customizations Upon Start

When you first start HiCAD, theStart Centre is displayed, which is designed to make it easier for you to get started on modelling. It enables you to preset a start action for HiCAD as well as options for creating new drawings and loading existing ones.

If you choose OK to exit the Start Centre, the current settings are used as the default setting. If, on the other hand, you exit the Start Centre by using the ESC key or by selecting the icon at the top right, the settings are ignored.

If the Switch Start Centre display off checkbox is active when you exit the Start Centre with OK, the current settings will apply as the default settings to all further HiCAD starts and to creating new drawings. The Start Centre will then no longer be displayed!

To reactivate the Start Centre and change the settings, select Settings > Activate Start Centre. Changes to settings will take effect when you next start HiCAD.
