Angle |
You can specify the angle by which a symbol from the Symbol Editor is taken over to the drawing. The angle can be selected from the Angle list box. |

New symbol |
Select this button to create a new symbol. HiCAD first prompts you to specify a name for the symbol, and then inserts a new entry in the symbol overview. |

These buttons enable you to specify up to four named points. Click the appropriate button and specify the points required for the symbol. If you want to delete the named points of a symbol, click |

Filter |
By setting a filter you can restrict your part selection. Only parts fulfilling the filter conditions will be displayed. As in Windows, you can also use the wildcard characters "*" and "?". Examples:

When you right-click on an entry in the symbol overview, a context menu with the following options appears:
- -> Take over symbol to drawing
Inserts the current symbol in the drawing. Specify its position in the drawing. - <- Create symbol from drawing
Replaces the current symbol by a graphic from the current drawing. Identify the required graphic in the drawing. - Copy symbol
Copies the current symbol to the HiCAD clipboard. - Insert symbol
Pastes the contents of the HiCAD clipboard over the current symbol. - Delete symbol
Deletes the current symbol.
