Update Attribute Values

Plant Engineering > Evaluation> Entire > Update attribute values...

If the master data of parts which have already been inserted in the layout plan are changed in the part data source, these changes will have no effect on the BOM. This also applies if the BOM is re-generated. This is due to the fact that copies of the master data created before the changes are used for this.

If you want the most recent status of the master data to be taken over from the part data source to the layout plan, use one of the following functions:

	Update attribute values, Drawing Takes the most recent status of the master data from the part data source over into the 3-D layout plan. This applies to all parts in the layout plan, i.e. the entire drawing.
	Update attribute values, Pipeline Takes the most recent status of the master data from the part data source over into the 3-D layout plan. This applies to all parts of the active pipeline.

 

Please note that the suitable part data source needs to be available!
