Presentation Options
Images of 3-D models are frequently needed for presentations at trade fairs, for product catalogues, Internet presences etc. HiCAD provides different options here:
- Lighting and shading
- Assign suitable
colours or textures to your model.
Use the HiCAD Colour Editorto define your own colours and materials. To define your own textures, use the New texture
function. Both functions can be found at Drawing > Others > Extras >Colour Editor.
- Use the Graphic window function to set the background individually
and to illuminate the 3-D model optimally with a minimum of slider movements
(on the basis of OpenGL) .Click the
icon and select Colour settings.
- Shade the model using the 3-D View Functions.
- Save the model as a pixel graphic (e.g. using CTRL + C).
- If required, you can simulate environments by assigning a panorama to your model. The surfaces of your model can then mirror the environment.
- Creating VMRL files, e.g. for the Internet
- Motion simulations and Physical simulations
- Export and further processing of the 3-D model, with the rendering program Gamma Ray, including animations
3-D models, processed with Gamma Ray
- Creation of 3-D PDF files for an interactive representation of 3-D model
In this way, the models can be viewed and evaluated from all sides, as well as moved, rotated, zoomed etc., even without HiCAD.
