Hatching in Sectional View and Cut-Out
3-D Standard > Tools > Attr. > Hatch section + cut-out
You can define an individual hatching per component and view for those section surfaces that result from sections, cut-outs or detail areas. Make the settings you want and click OK to exit the dialogue window.
The dialogue window consists of the following areas:
- Settings
Specifies whether the default setting is to be used for the section surfaces of a component or the display is to be determined on an individual basis. - Apply
to
Defines the parts and views to which the selected settings are to be applied.

Pattern according to drawing setting For pattern, distance and angle of the cut surfaces, the corresponding settings of the view will be used. |

Individual
Take over from view /Value input Spacing between and angle of the hatching lines can either be taken over from the view or defined on an individual basis. If the values are specified individually, the angle distinguishes between non-oriented and oriented hatching. |

Take over from part Click this button to apply the settings of an existing part, i.e. the settings that you assigned to the part using the Hatch section + cut-out function, to the dialogue window. |

Default setting for new views Activate the checkbox if you also want the selected settings to be taken into account in subsequently created views. |
Specify the required settings and exit the dialogue window with OK.
An exact representation of hatchings is only provided in the representation modes Hidden Line dashed and Glass model. In all other cases a simplified representation of hatchings will be shown, i.e. lines are always continuous and have the same spacing.
Please note:
- The Acc. to material catalogue
and Parallel lines
functions at Drawing > Properties > Attr.
> ... allow you to hatch all cut surfaces either by using the material hatching or by taking over the corresponding view settings – no matter in which view .
- Use the Hatching, Scale-dependency
function to specify for 3-D hatchings whether they should be scale-dependent or scale-independent.
