Process Central Projection

Change central projection

Views > Projections > Standard AXO > Central projection, Change

This function enables you to change the parameters of a central projection individually.

Function

Description

Viewer walks around the object

  • You change the line of vision and the viewer distance by using a point option to define the new viewpoint.

or

  • You change the line of vision while retaining the viewer distance. For this, HiCAD requires you to enter the angle for the horizontal and the vertical rotation. In this case, the viewpoint and the line of vision are changed.

Viewer inclines his head to the side

The horizon is rotated while the spatial centre and viewpoint remain fixed.

Viewer goes forward/steps back

The viewer is moved while the spatial centre and aperture angle remain fixed.

Viewer widens/narrows his gaze

The image detail is enlarged while the distance between viewpoint and spatial centre remains fixed.

Viewer steps aside, with fixed gaze

The viewpoint and the spatial centre are moved in parallel.

Spatial centre

Views > Projections > Standard AXO > Spatial centre

You use this function to change the spatial centre. By default, this is the point (0,0,0), in relation to the world coordinate system.

For the current view, the spatial centre is the rotation centre when rotating about the world or image axes. It is also used as the midpoint of the image plane in central projection, enabling both settings to influence each other.
