3-D Standard > New > Extruded > 2-D->3-D Conversion > Part from views

This operation creates a 3-D model by sweeping closed polylines contained in each of the views.

First identify a closed polyline in each of the defined views. The sequence can be chosen arbitrarily.

The number of polylines to be identified depends on the number of views that have been defined. For instance, if you have defined three views with the Views function, you need to identify three closed polylines.

HiCAD automatically derives the 3-D model and inserts it into the drawing.

Depending on the type of 2-D drawing you can repeat this step for further polylines.

 

Please note:

• The function can only be executed if you have specified the Views in the 2-D model accordingly!
• The position of the spatial centre of the 3-D model depends on the reference points specified during view definition. If required, you need to go to another screen area in order to view the 3-D model (e.g. using the Screen key).
