Divide Line, With Point
Sketch > Process > Trim > Divide, With point
Use this function to divide lines by specifying the division points. Proceed as follows:
Select the line you want to divide. The line will be highlighted (red, Special colour "Marking 5"). Then, specify the division point. You have the following options:
- You can specify the division point via a point option.
- You can move the cursor along the selected line. Division points will be offered in the form of spherical symbols. Click to apply a division point.
- You can identify an edge which (or the imaginary lengthening of which) intersects with the line to be divided. The intersection point of the line and the edge will be the division point.
If there is no intersection point, a message will be displayed:
Selection leads to incalculable result. Selected line does not intersect with line to be divided.
