Polygon

Sketch > Draw > Rectangle

Use this function to insert polygons into a sketch or 3-D sketch by using Sketch Technology.

Once you have specified the first corner point, auxiliary lines are automatically displayed along a predefined grid. On this grid, you can then click the mouse to define the coordinates of the second corner point (relative to the first corner point) by means of corresponding cursor movements. This displays the coordinates of the current cursor position and a preview of the rectangle.

Clicking opens a menu with further polygon functions.

Rectangle

Rectangle, 3 points

Parallelogram

N-gon, free *
Creates an n-gon via specification of:

  • the number of corners (1) and the width across flats (2) or
  • the number of corners and the width across corners

as well as the n-gon centre point.

* This function is only available for planar sketches.
