Change Graphical Element

2-D Geometry > Change

Use the functions of the Change function group on the 2-D Geometry tab to change graphical elements.

You can use the Element snap mode for a quicker selection of certain functions. Move the cursor across the drawing objects: The graphic element which is closest to the current cursor position is selected. If you right-click, the element becomes active, and the context menu containing the functions is displayed.

Lines

Trim, To intersection point

Lengthen/Shorten, To point

Change GE into symbol line

Change circle/fillet radius

Close corner, internal corner

To connect two lines to one another, click the cursor next to the intersection point.

Close Corner, 2 GE

This function enables you to identify the two graphical elements that you want to form a corner.

Divide

Merge polyline

This function enables you to merge a graphical element that has been split into parts using the Divide function back into a graphical element.

Merge part

Use this function to merge all graphical elements of the active part.

Align+Close GE

The alignment mechanism ensures that "unclean" data such as imprecise parallelism, tangentiality, angles and gaps between graphical elements are automatically corrected, taking a tolerance into account. The correction is made in the active part.

Overlap

Rectangular cutout

Graphical elements within a rectangle are deleted. They are either slit, shortened or deleted. Circles/arcs are always completely deleted even if only a part of the element is in the rectangle.

Trim to rectangle

You trim the active part by positioning a rectangle as required. All lines outside the rectangle are deleted.
