Surface Symbols

2-D Dimensioning + Text > Surface/Tolerances > Symbols

If you click on the arrow below Symbols, a pull-down menu with processing functions for symbols is displayed .

Function		Description
	Symbols	Use this function to insert symbols from symbol tables.
Pull-down menu Symbols
	Break up symbols, active part	This function breaks up all symbols in the active part. The symbols are converted into standard 2-D parts. The symbols are then available with their graphical information for manipulations.
	Break up symbols, all	This function breaks up all symbols in the drawing. The symbols are converted into standard 2-D parts. The symbols are then available with their graphical information for manipulations.
	Delete symbols	This function enables you to delete symbols individually, in a rectangle or from the current drawing.
	Change into symbol line	Symbol lines are polylines that any symbol uses as a line pattern. Conic sections are not permitted. After choosing the function, you can select a symbol from the symbol table as a pattern. The active polyline is assigned the selected symbol.
	Break up symbol line	This function enables you to delete the symbols of the symbol lines. You obtain the original polyline.
