Synchronize Catalogues 

If you want to use the same catalogue as other users, you can synchronize your catalogues with those of other users. This can, for instance, be useful if these catalogues contain data that you require, but do not exist in your catalogue.

Proceed as follows:

  1. Save the catalogue of which you want to transfer data, to a different folder than your original catalogue.
  2. Start the Catalogue Editor.
  3. Right-click the catalogue you want to synchronize.
  4. In the context menu, select Synchronize catalogue.
  5. The Catalogue Editor will then prompt you to select the import file, i.e. the catalogue from which you want to transfer data.

All data sets of the reference file, which do not exist in your file will be transferred to your table.

 

The two catalogues will then be compared, and the data (i.e. catalogues, tables, data records) which do not yet exist in your catalogue will be transferred.

 

This function does not overwrite or delete any existing data records!
