For these plates, the Catalogue Editor provides appropriate tables (Semi-finished products > Plates) with pre-defined data records. Each record represents a plate with particular dimensions and properties, such as the article number, the plate thickness, the material etc. These tables can be extended arbitrarily by entering further records with the required properties. For this you use the Catalogue Editor.

To insert a sketch plate in HiCAD, proceed as follows:

  1. Once you have called the function, select the required table
  2. Select the dimensions and the material for the plate you want to insert.
  3. Choose OK to close the dialogue window.
  4. Identify the sketch.
  5. Specify a fitting point on the sketch and its new position in the drawing. The plate is fitted.
  6. You can fit several plates of this type in succession. Press the ESC key or the middle mouse button to end the function.
