Edit Symbol Library

P+ID Library

The editing functions for symbol libraries can be found on the P+ID Library tab.

During processing, open P+ID projects can remain open; HiCAD removes only the currently processed sheet, after asking you whether you want to save the changes made to the sheet.

Functions		Description
Function group: Settings
	Attribute and dialogue type definitions	Use this function to process the definitions which are preset in the current configuration. The corresponding name is displayed in the title bar of the window.
	Preset text parameters	Use this function to set the text parameters for the graphic representation of the dialogue texts. When you call the function, the Symbol text parameters dialogue box is displayed.
Function group: Symbol group
	Create symbol group	Adds another symbol group to the currently loaded library.
	Rename symbol group	Use this function to rename symbol groups.
	Move symbol group	Changes the position of an existing symbol group within the library frame.
	Delete symbol group	Deletes a symbol group from a loaded library.
Function group: Symbol
	Edit symbol	Selecting a library symbol activates the P+ID Symbol tab. Here you can find the function for library symbol processing as well as selected 2-D functions.
	Rename symbol	Deletes the name of a symbol in the loaded library.
	Move symbol	Changes the position of an existing symbol within a group.
	Change symbol reference	Assigns an existing symbol to another group.
	Delete library symbol	Deletes symbols from the library.
	Insert symbol from another library	Inserts a library symbol from another library and saves it, with a new name, to the current library.
	Create icon from symbol	Creates an icon for a symbol selection pop-up menu.
