Variable Symbols

P+ID > Symbol > Load symbol

The image of variable symbols is first generated by a macro as a 0-symbol with the name 0SUFMAKR; this symbol is then assigned to the actual library symbol when you insert it.

The name of a variable symbol always ends with _V, i.e. if the name of the symbol is NAME_V, and then the name of the associated macro file is NAME_V.MAC. Variable symbol macro files are stored in the etn\bibl sub-directory of your HiCAD directory.

When you want select a symbol by name, you can set 0 in front of the symbol name to return symbol names generated by the macro as 0-symbols instead of all variable symbols.

Example: The symbol name, H12_V returns the complete belt conveyor. The name 0H12_V returns a symbol image as a 0-symbol.

The supplied ISDDINSYM2_* library contains variable symbols for conveyors.

When you insert the conveyor belt symbol, use the cross-hairs to specify the start point of the belt on which the fitting point of the symbol should be illustrated, and then the end point of the belt as the second position. If the end point is on the left of the start point, the symbol is mirrored. The belt may lie diagonally. The symbol is automatically given a connecting point on its start and end point. Further connecting points can be placed on optional positions (within a valid 2.5 mm grid).
