Transform Symbol

P+ID > Symbol > Move

The functions contained in this menu enable you to move or rotate symbols on the active sheet.

Transform symbol

During transformation of symbols, please note the following:

The codes for processed symbols are NOT automatically updated to correspond with the new position. You can however do this retroactively using other functions.

When a symbol is placed on a connection, HiCAD checks to see if a direction of flow has been specified and, when applicable, if it matches the selected direction of insertion. If this is not the case, HiCAD mirrors the symbol about the perpendicular bisector of the vector between the two pipe connecting points. However, the connecting points and dialogue points are not mirrored. This means that the direction of flow determined for the symbol is automatically reversed. If the text for Flow direction dialogue was "1" (= Direction of flow from 1st to 2nd pipe connection) it is now set to "2" (=Direction of flow from 2nd to 1st pipe connection) – or vice versa. Only symbols having two connections can be processed in this way.

In the same way as all other symbols, 0-symbols can be transformed. The "Move, in rectangle" option is however only possible if the superordinate symbol is also contained in the given box.
