Change Language

P+ID > P+ID Sheet > Process > Change language of graphic texts

Select this function to automatically translate texts in drawings or all texts on selected project sheets. This function can only be used if the corresponding text is contained in theHiCAD Dictionary.

First select the source language then the target language and click OK.

A dialogue box appears enabling you to specify search conditions to detect the sheet containing the text to be translated into another language.

Specify the search criteria and click OK to output a list of sheets fulfilling the given conditions. You can also click List to output a listing of all sheets contained in the project.

Select the appropriate rows for sheets to be translated, and click OK. If you want to translate all listed sheets, click Entire list.

HiCAD automatically loads selected sheets in sequence, and translates the text.

This function only enables you to translate text in drawings. This applies to all text taken from the data mask of a flow-chart symbol. All text in the actual data mask remains in the source language.

Let us assume that you want to translate text into English and that the annotation Drive 1 has been set for the dialogue type Function in the data mask belonging to a symbol as well as a place holder in the drawing, the text "drive 1" appears on the P+ID sheet. If you change the German text with the Edit Symbol function, the new annotation appears on the symbol in German.
