Trim Corner

Sheet Metal > Process > CutOff > 3 Milling edge zones Icon

Use this function to close a corner in your Sheet Metal construction with 3 milling edge zones.

Click Apply to execute the function and leave the dialogue window open, allowing you to choose further milling edge zones if desired. Click OK to execute the function and close the dialogue window. Click Cancel to close the window and discard the inputs. If you have activated the Apply immediately checkbox, the input will be applied directly.

In order to create bend zones suitable for milling, use the Trim corner function for trimming transitions with two or three milling edge zones in your sheet metal drawing. This creates 2 straight lines as an extension of the flange edges converging in the milling edge zone.

  1. First, activate the icon for the amount of milling edge zones.
  2. Then, identify the milling edge zones.

If you want to identify a different milling edge zone, click the Icon icon for identification.

You also have the option to close sheet corners in the developed state, i.e. after a bending simulation.

If you choose Apply, the function is activated, but the dialogue box remains open - different from OK. This allows you to select other milling edge zones, then close the dialogue with Apply. If you exit the dialogue box with Cancel, the function is canceled without any changes. If you have ticked the Apply immediately checkbox, the entries are directly applied.
