Default Configuration for Assemblies without Usage

Even for assemblies without an assigned type of usage it is possible to define default configurations regarding different assembly types, which will be considered during the automatic creation of detail drawings (production drawing for one view group). These configurations must have a certain name, depending on the assembly type.

DEFAULT(ASSEMBLY)

DEFAULT(COMMON_ASSEMBLY)

DEFAULT(WELD_ASSEMBLY)

DEFAULT(MOUNTING_ASSEMBLY)

DEFAULT(GLAZING_ASSEMBLY)

DEFAULT(MULLION_ASSEMBLY)

DEFAULT(TRANSOM_ASSEMBLY)

DEFAULT(GLASS_ASSEMBLY)

DEFAULT(INSERT_ASSEMBLY)

DEFAULT(PLANNINGGRID_ASSEMBLY)

DEFAULT(STRUCTURE_ASSEMBLY)

In order to define a default configuration for a certain assembly type, please proceed as follows:

  1. In the Configuration Editor, go to Automatic drawing derivation > Production drawing > Usage assignment. Set your cursor in the Others group.
  2. Click on New. This creates a new row within the current group.
  3. Double-click on the new empty cell in the Usage column and choose All.
  4. In the Part type column, enter the desired assembly type, Assembly (for general assemblies).
  5. In the Usage-dependent setting column, choose New usage settings.

The name DEFAULT(ASSEMBLY) will be suggested. If you want to copy the values of an existing configuration, e.g. ASSEMBLY_BEAM, activate the checkbox and select the configuration.

Confirm with OK.

  1. Click on Apply.
  2. The new configuration will appear on the left in the structure and can now be edited.
