Sort Graphical Elements

Sketch > Tools > Sort GE

Polylines of the active sketch that are optically contiguous i.e. the graphical elements of which join one another, are not automatically regarded as contiguous in the internal data structure. This may, for example, be the case when you combine polylines and arcs.

In the image below, the three lines were created in one step with the Polyline function. The Arc P-P-P function was then used to insert the arc. While this polyline is optically contiguous, it is not internally so.

For example, the arc would not be considered if the Parallel polyline function was called and one of the lines identified. After sorting, however, this is the case. The Sort GE in active sketch function ensures that optically contiguous polylines of the active sketch are also regarded as such in the internal data structure.
