Project: HiCAD 3-D

Set/Delete Dimensional Tolerances

3-D Dimensioning + Text > Edit > Edit... > Dimensional tolerances

Use these functions to assign tolerances to individual or several dimensions, and remove these tolerances again.

Alternatively, you can access these functions via the context menu for dimension figures (right-click dimension figure).

Set dimensional tolerances

3-D Dimensioning + Text > Edit > Edit... > Dimensional tolerances > Set

Use these functions to assign tolerances to one or several dimensions.

First select whether you want to apply the tolerances to individual dimensions, an entire dimensioning structure, dimensions lying within a specified rectangle or all dimensions within a defined selection rectangle.

In the Tolerance/Fit dialogue window, select if you want to assign a tolerance or a tolerance group, and specify the desired parameters.

Exit the dialogue window with OK. HiCAD prompts you (depending on the selected function) to identify the dimensions.

Dimension tolerances will be sorted automatically in such a way that the greatest value will always be placed at the top (or at the front, respectively).

Delete dimensional tolerances

3-D Dimensioning + Text > Edit > Edit... > Dimensional tolerances > Delete

Use this function to remove existing dimensional tolerances.

First select, via activation of the corresponding function, whether you want to process individual dimensions, all dimensions of a dimension structure, or all dimensions within a defined selection rectangle.

Depending on the selected function, HiCAD will then prompt you to identify the dimension.
