Views > Projections

Use the functions of the Projections function group to rotate the active view about various axes or change the type of projection.

Standard AXO

Activates the HiCAD standard axonometry, in this case the axonometry 2. You can also activate the function via the transparent toolbar.

Front view

You use these functions to choose one of the standard views for the active view:

from the front,
side view from the left,
top view,
side view from the right,
from the bottom,
from the back.

Front view, top view and side view can also be selected via the transparent toolbar.

Side view, from left

Top view

Side view, from right

Bottom view

Back view

Clicking

opens a menu with the further functions :

Active XY-plane in screen plane

Rotates the active view so that the current xy-plane is located in the screen plane.

Axonometric

Activates a pop-up menu with axonometric view options.

Isometric

Activates a pop-up menu with isometric view options.

Central projection, Automatic

Automatic determination of a central projection.

Central projection, Define

Definition of a central projection via input of all required parameters.

Central projection, Change

Changing the parameters of a central projection.

Central projection, Viewer distance

Definition of a central projection via the specification of the spatial centre and the viewer distance.

Central projection, Line of vision

Definition of one-point or two-point projections.

Central projection, Angle of vision

Definition of a central projection via specification of the spatial centre, the angle of vision, and the choice of the observer viewpoint.

Spatial centre

Changing of the spatial centre, i.e. the centre of the screen plane. .

Please note:

After rotating a view, or after creating of standard views, the ViewAll display mode will normally be automatically activated. If you do not want this, open the Configuration Editor, select System settings > Visualisation and change the Automatic ViewAll parameter accordingly:

Never
The ViewAll mode will not be activated automatically.

After standard views
The view All mode will be automatically activated after creation of a new standard view or when switching a view.

Also after rotation
The ViewAll mode will be automatically activated after creation of a new standard view, when switching the projection and after rotating of views

Most of the above functions can also be activated via the transparent toolbar.
