Visualisation and Overlap

How objects (graphical elements, dimensioning, text, ...) are displayed depends on the visualisation and overlap settings. The functions are divided into the following areas:

• Show/hide 2-D/3-D objects via certain attributes (see HiCAD Basics)
• 2-D settings for hidden edges (Drawing > Others > Visualisation)
• 2-D overlap functions (2-D Part > Overlap)

You create overlaps by assigning visualisation levels or layers in 2-D. Overlapped graphical elements can then be hidden or displayed with another line type. In addition, you can hide individual elements like dimensioning, text hatching and spline.
