Office Interface: Attributes

In the HELiOS menu of the Ribbons in Word and Excel, you can find the Attribute fields function group with the following menu items:

If any new or changed attributes are not displayed in the document mask yet, use the Update function to update the list of attributes that belong to the document.

Select New to assign further fields to your active Word or Excel document. The Attribute selection dialogue window will be displayed:

In the Type field you can choose the object type of the attributes (Document, Article, Project or Folder).

In the Filter field you can select templates for attribute result lists, if any have been saved in the HELiOS Desktop.

After selection of an attribute from the list via double-click or marking and confirming with OK the attribute field will be inserted at the current position of the cursor.

In this way you can display the HELiOS attributes for the Office document (and also the linked articles, projects and folders) in it, provided that a corresponding value (content) had been assigned to them.

In Word, using tables is recommended for this purpose. There you assign one HELiOS attribute to each table cell.
