You specify the source file records that should be respected with the options
This option enables you to find records that fulfil specific conditions, and then select the records required for data imports .
If you want to find all records containing the type designation character string 050 , then enter the string *050* as a search pattern in the field Type designation.
Alternatively, you can use the value of a variable as search criterion. If you want to find all records in which the value for variable N = 50 , then enter the value 50 in the entry field Value and select the variable N in the entry field below, in the list box .
Click OK to start the search. All records found that fulfil the specified conditions are displayed in a result list.
Example of a result list.
If the current record fulfils the conditions, it is highlighted in the result list. Initially, the program sorts the records in the first column. If you want to sort records in another column, click the required column heading. This option only influences records in the list, not the sequence of records in the VAD file.
The following option buttons are available at the foot of the table:
Import |
Records in lines previously selected in the result list are recognised as "selected for import", and data import executed. |
Import all |
All records belonging to the result list are recognised as "selected for import", and data export executed. |
Cancel |
The function is abandoned. |
The program always closes the result list, and saves given search conditions.
Select the function List to display all records of the current variant.
This option outputs a list of all source file records.
The same functions as for Find are available at the bottom of the list window.
