Grating Steps (3-D SE)

Steel Engineering > CAids > Bolting > Step, DIN 24531

Use this function to insert grating steps according to DIN 24531 as main parts. Proceed as follows:

  1. First select the desired step size from the selection list. The entries are configured as follows:

SP30-30-600x240 (Example)

The first value (SP30) stands for the bearing bar height SP30.

The second value for the nominal mesh width 30.

The two last values define the surface area of the step 600x240.

  1. After selecting the step, choose the desired material from the list box at the bottom of the window.
  2. Exit the selection window with OK. HiCAD displays a preview of the grating step.
  3. Specify a fitting point on the step, or right-click and choose the origin of the Part CS.
  4. Specify the position of the previously defined fitting point in the drawing. If you want to select the origin of the active coordinate system here, right-click and choose Origin.
  5. You can then insert further steps of the selected type or end the function by pressing the middle mouse button (ESC).
