Transfer Part Assignment (P+ID)

P+ID > Symbol > Edit symbol

Click the Transfer part assignment button to transfer the part assignment to the currently selected symbol to other symbols belonging to the same Symbol library.

This function has the same effect on the selected symbol as OK, i.e. the change is taken over in the symbol data mask.

You can transfer the assignment:

• to all symbols

The part assignment to the current symbol is transferred to all symbols belonging to the same library – even if a part has already been assigned to them.

• to symbols without part assignment

The part assignment to the current symbol is only transferred to symbols with no part assignments that belong to the same symbol library.

• to symbols having the current part assignment

The part assignment to the current symbol is only transferred to a symbol belonging to the same Symbol library to which the previous part was assigned.

Activate the required button, and select the destination of the symbols to be processed.

	Individually	Use the cross-hairs to select individual symbols to which parts should be assigned.
	In rectangle	Use the cross-hairs to draw a rectangle about the appropriate symbols.
	Symbols on one sheet	Enter the designation of the sheet containing the symbols.
	Symbols on sheets with same sheet number	Specify the sheet number of sheets containing the required symbols. (Please remember: The sheet designation is created from the sheet number plus the sheet index, e.g. "12.3", "12.7", "13.1").
	Symbols in entire project	This option enables you to process all symbols belonging to the project. HiCAD asks you to confirm your command.   Important: Only those symbols are processed that fulfil previously given part assignment conditions and that belong to the same Symbol library as the selected symbol.
