This function enables you to use a reference symbolto copy the text parameters of named text points originating from data mask dialogues (including their position and direction relative to the symbol) to individual symbols, symbols in a selection rectangle, or all symbols of the drawing sheet. Please note: Only symbols originating from the same library symbol as the reference symbol will be accepted as target symbols.
HiCAD issues the message "Symbol selected as reference symbol."
The selected symbol remains the reference symbol until you select a different one - even if you change the project. |
This option enables you to identify and select individual target symbols. HiCAD transfers the appropriate parameter values to the given symbol and re-displays the cross-hairs to enable you to select the next target symbol. You can either select the next symbol or press the middle mouse button to exit. |
Use the cross-hairs to draw a rectangle containing the required target symbols. The parameter values are transferred to all symbols having the same origin as the reference symbol and whose fitting points are contained in the box. HiCAD marks the target symbols, and asks: "Symbols updated. Retain marking?" Respond with Yes, if you want to retain marking, otherwise respond with No. |
This option is similar to the In rectangle option, but in this case HiCAD automatically creates a box whose edges coincide with the edges of the sheet. |
