Create Module (P+ID)
P+ID > P+ID Module > Create module
To create a new module, you need to:
- Specify a name under which the module should be saved.
- Specify the area of the drawing that should be saved as a module by specifying the appropriate box.
- Specify an attachment point on the box.
This point enables you to insert the module in required position on the sheet. HiCAD now saves the content of the specified drawing area of the active sheet as a module.
Depending on the symbol type, special conditions apply to symbols contained in a module:
- Any existing Discontinuation symbol assignments to a partner symbol are removed and the corresponding entries for the dialogue type Reference are deleted.
- Symbol assignments to subordinate or superior symbols that are not contained in the specified drawing area are removed.
- A 0-symbol is only recognised as part of a module if it is assigned to another symbol contained in the given rectangle.
- If a Connection with a flow-direction arrow is completely within the rectangle, the relative position of the arrow on the connection is retained. If only a point of the connection is in the rectangle, the flow-direction arrow is moved to the centre of the modified connection.
