New Pipeline Info Symbol (P+ID)

The pipeline information symbol is a symbol, which is assigned to a pipeline symbol. It takes over the abbreviation of the pipeline symbol. The pipeline information symbol is graphically identical to the superior pipeline symbol.

This new special symbol can now be used to insert the code of a pipeline into the diagram at any point, for information. The symbol can be inserted several times into the same pipeline. If the code for a pipeline is changed, the change will automatically be transferred to the superior piping information symbols.

A pipeline information symbol will be required in particular if a pipeline is on two or more sheets with the help of cancellation symbols. On the first sheet, the pipeline symbol will show the code for the pipeline itself. A pipeline information symbol will be added on the other sheets.

If you create a pipeline between two symbols, where one symbol is a cancellation symbol, which refers to a pipeline, HiCAD issues the message: "A pipeline info symbol is created." Cross-hairs will be shown to position the symbol.

You can move or delete pipeline information symbols, but you cannot copy them. Pipeline information symbols will not be taken over into P+ID modules.

In order to be able to use piping information symbols, you require the symbol library ISDDINSYM1_* ; it contains the symbol _PIPE2. If you want to use these symbols in an already existing P+ID project, link the symbol library ISDDINSYM1_* to the project again.
