P+ID > P+ID Project > Save project
This function enables you to save the active project stored in the WORK directory to another directory. If an existing project was open, HiCAD saves it to the directory from which it was loaded, i.e. thereby updating the project file. The project data in this directory are overwritten by the current data from the WORK directory.
HiCAD asks whether the active project should be saved. When you respond with Yes, the project is saved, but the project remains active, i.e. its data is retained in the Work directory.
The first time you save a project, the Windows dialogue box appears on your screen enabling you to save files. Select the required directory (normally \PID\PROJECT) and specify the required project name in the File name input field.
P+ID > P+ID Project > Save project as..., without database 
This function, in the File menu, enables you to save a project in its current state under a different name. Select the required directory (normally \PID\PROJECT) and specify a project name in the File name input field. The project is renamed and saved. The new project name is automatically assigned to the title block in the drawing frame. The renamed project is now recognised as the active project.
P+ID > P+ID Project > Save project as..., with document master 
Use this function to save the active project in its current processing state with a different document master. The HELiOS document master mask is displayed for this purpose.
Proceed in the same way as for the loading of a drawing with database in 2-D or 3-D.
The new document master in the database will automatically appear in the title block in the drawing frame. Depending on the presettings for drawing number generation, all sheets will either obtain the same drawing number, or the respective sheet numbers are automatically appended to the drawing number.
