This function saves a P+ID Project as a RPA file. RPA files are archive files containing all data belonging to a project. During processing these files are temporarily unpacked to the \PID\WORK\[Number of drawing thumbnail]\NAME sub-directory. The archive file is updated (if necessary recreated) when you save a project. If a project is closed, the entire NAME sub-directory will be deleted automatically (Please do not attempt to delete these files manually!).
As project sheets should not be individually processed, the database enables you to access the entire project, not single sheets belonging to it.
The User Interface for the functions:
can be handled in the same way as the normal HiCAD 3-D or 2-D interface. As with standard drawings, HiCAD supports derived drawings and modified drawings, but as it could lead to misunderstanding in conjunction with sheets belonging to a P+ID, follow-on sheet designs are not supported.
Document master data from the database is automatically assigned to the title block in drawing frames on sheets belonging to a project. In accordance with pre-determined set-tings, all sheets are either assigned the same drawing number, or respective sheet numbers are appended to the drawing number.
